When putting up new wallpaper, applying new paint, or installing new flooring, the first and most crucial task is scraping off and removing whatever is already present on your surface. The floor and wall scrapers that we carry are inexpensive and easy-to-use by anyone. There are dozens of different designs and styles of scrapers and the best one for your job is determined by what you are trying to remove. These scrapers are great for removing old paints, wallpapering, and adhesives that are left behind after removing carpets.

The most common style of floor and wall scraper used today is the straight scraper. Although some are made with wooden handles, the ones we carry are made with a cushioned plastic handle to provide you with increased comfort, making them easier to use for a longer period of time. Floor and wall scrapers are available with plastic or metal blades depending on your task, ours come with four-inch replaceable blades for greater durability and wider use. Whatever you’re trying to remove from your floor and wall surfaces, these scrapers are up to the challenge.

For more detailed work, like cleaning out corners, floor and wall scrapers with a curved design are ideal. These scrapers come with a blade that has a slight hook or curve to them, making them more effective for this type of situation. These are also very efficient scrapers for removing small amounts of paint, wallpaper, or other materials that are present along your baseboards.

In order for your new paint, wallpaper, or flooring to adhere properly to your walls or floor, you must first clean away all of the chips, dust, and particles, created when removing the old materials that once covered your surface. Once you have removed the old covering vacuum the surface to remove the majority of the debris left behind. Next follow up by washing the surface with a rag or mop and a mild detergent. Do not over saturate the surface, be sure to ring out the rag or mop to minimize the amount of moisture left behind. Allow your surfaces to dry over night, any moisture that is left behind may cause mildew to build up under your new wall and floor coverings.
