This tool  will fit any spline shank tool. If the shank on this looks a little different than the shank on your spline carbide tipped drill bits it is because a ground rod driver is made not to rotate - just like a cold chisel. This unit may be used with rods up to 5/8" in diameter. It features a one piece machined construction with a long socket.
